Renaissance
For outstanding skill in the areas of design, engineering, execution, or performance
Klein ISD
DI Tigers
Epps Island Elementary
This team is highly deserving of this award for their exceptional skill, precision, and execution throughout the challenge.
Using modest materials and resources, the team engineered a carefully synchronized presentation in which every element was intentionally connected to their monologue. Each component served a clear purpose, demonstrating thoughtful design and strong technical understanding rather than reliance on elaborate materials.
During the post-presentation interview, the team confidently articulated the how, why, and what behind every aspect of their solution. They clearly explained the reasoning, engineering decisions, and performance techniques that guided their work, showing a deep understanding of the challenge objectives and the deliberate steps they took to achieve them.
What truly distinguishes this team is their complete self-reliance and their ability to execute at a high level using the simplest of means. Their work reflects disciplined craftsmanship, strong problem-solving skills, and technical excellence—an outstanding example of skill-driven achievement in elementary-level Destination Imagination.

Aldine ISD
Harris Dream Builders
Harris Elementary
This team met with challenges from the beginning before they even took the stage with missing team members and a technical difficulty with their microphone not working. But none of these obstacles were going to discourage these three mighty fighters from building their dreams! They were confident and faced their presentation head on, the energy of these three team members filling the stage and left the appraisers with a tender spot in their heart for the effort and attitude they brought. Way to go, Harris Dream Builders from Harris Elementary, for showing us that DI is not just about the score, but also about teamwork, support, and doing your best.
Torchbearer
Honors teams and/or individuals in the Service Learning challenge whose solutions have had an extraordinary impact in and beyond their local communities
Independent
Awesomesaucers
This team exemplifies the spirit of the Torchbearer Award by addressing a genuine community need through innovative, purposeful and far-reaching service. They recognized an urgent need to support local animal welfare efforts and created action that went beyond their various school communities.
Through strategic use of social media, they generated over 11,000 TikTok views to raise awareness, hosted five adoption events, and translated pet profiles into Spanish to increase accessibility and outreach. Their efforts resulted in 1,300 lbs of pet food and more than $3,500.
This not only showcases their impact but their leadership, creativity, and commitment to service. Their solution created change for both animals and their communities showing us how student-driven action can make a difference beyond. They are Torchbearers.
